BRRRRRR.........

White Christmas?
Our first full time snow.  We got about an inch of snow and ice last night.  It is supposed to snow a little all day and overnight temps at about 15 degrees.  Brrrrr....
We are really glad we purchased two little electric heaters to help save on propane.  We are staying pretty cozy inside the rig.  The wind is the only problem.  We started rocking about 2 AM and had to pull in the bedroom slide.  Our Santa Hats (idea stolen from Gin and Syl) managed to stay on the mirrors even with the wind :)
Cinnamon Ring

One of the best parts of Christmas is my cousin Marlene's cinnamon ring.  It is sooo good, but it never lasts long.  I think this one made it 3 days.
My stepfather and brother finished picking cotton yesterday- just before the snowfall ..Whew!  They have had a decent year on the farm.  That makes for much happier holidays around here :)

Green Chili Enchiladas
We have been eating at home mostly. We did get out to "My Brother's Place" in Las Cruces.  They are famous for hottest green chili sauce in town.  It was hot, as advertised.  It was also very flavorful.

Today, we will focus on trying to stay warm.  We may have to have a little more chili :).  See you down the road....

  3. That cinnamon ring looks more like a "sin-amon" ring. Good thing calories don't count during the holidays or I'd be in real trouble... ;c)

  4. So sorry that old white stuff and the accompanying cold didn't wait until you were long gone from there! Well, at least you'll have that White Christmas :)
That cinnamon ring looks amazing. I can only imagine how incredible it must taste. Makes the snow worth it, right? :)
Merry Christmas and we'll see you in the new year.

  7. White Christmas "sounds" nice but not the 15 degrees. Guess you are just going to have to do a lot of cuddlin' up!

But I have to say you guys get the award for willpower. That cinnamon ring wouldn't last 3 hours let alone 3 days on my table. :-)
