Albuquerque

We had a beautiful full moon Monday night in Santa Rosa.  Tuesday, we had breakfast and got going on our final stretch to Albuquerque.
We arrived at Enchanted Trails RV Park about 11:30.  It is a nice RV park .  Like most parks the sites are too close together, but they do have a few big trees. They also have a great collection of vintage RV's.

They have one group of them arranged around a little decorated square. They can be rented, like some campgrounds have cabins. The vintage trailers pay homage to the "mother road" Route 66.  I love it.

I especially like this old park model, as it is exactly like one my Grandfather had at Elephant Butte Lake.  Some of my best childhood memories were at the lake.

After we got settled in our site, we hit the grocery store and then went to some friends house for dinner.  They made fantastic Green Chili Enchiladas and let us do our laundry.  What a deal :).

Today, we went down to Old Town and just prattled around in the galleries and shops and had a great lunch at The Old Town Diner.  It is a new place and we were glad we tried it.  Catherine had a  Black Bean burger and I had Green Chili Stew.  Both were delicious.

Tonight, we are just hanging out at the rig enjoying the wonderfully cool weather :)  We haven't decided what we will do tomorrow. We will be in Albuquerque until next Tuesday and are planning our activities around weather, haircuts for all three of us and visiting friends.  See you down the road....

Now there is a thought, why don't laundramats include a restaurant?? You have to do something while your clothes wash and dry ;o))

You reminded me that I haven't had a black bean burger in awhile :) It's one of my favorites.

Have fun the next few days and happy hair cutting!

  4. We stayed here and posted a blog with all the vintage trailers in it. They were very cool. Did you check the "collection" in the office???

Don't miss the Indian Pueblo Culture Center. I could have spent more than a day there. It's amazing.

Can you introduce me to your friends for my next trip to Albuquerque?? LOL
