Our first week without construction flew by. We had friends over for lunch on Sunday. It was a great day to enjoy our patio and a beautiful sunset. Monday and Tuesday we did some chores and finished up a few touch up things at the Condo. We visited the breeze and ran her engine and generator. She is ready to get out on the road again!
Wednesday, we were scheduled to go to a Jr. High track meet. However, some weather moved in and it got cancelled. It was rescheduled for next week- we will try to make it out to support our friend's daughter.
Today was a rough day for Grace. She had her appointment with the dental specialist. She was kind of a hot mess. She had to have 7 teeth pulled - mostly because they were broken. There will be no more bully bones for Grace. She was diagnosed as an "aggressive chewer". Bully bones usually do not cause tooth breakage but she apparently chews way too hard. She also had infection on both sides of her mouth. She made it though the procedure well. She has had her meal and is sleeping on Catherine's lap. We are hoping this clears up all the issues she has been having.
I am doing a volunteer day back at the little rehab house for habitat tomorrow. Then, our condo building is having a pizza party. Catherine and I, volunteered to serve the pizza so we could meet everyone. It should be fun.
I can't believe it is almost March!
7 teeth! Poor Grace! It is amazing though how much teeth affect our entire health. I'm sure it's the same with dogs. She'll probably bounce back with a vengeance! :)
ReplyDeleteGrace looks so sweet sleeping on Catherine's lap. Hope things are quickly on the mend for her!! You do have some beautiful sunsets views from your Condo:o))
ReplyDeleteOh poor Grace. No dentures in her future. But Gail is right, it's amazing how much the health of our teeth affect our entire health. I am really happy that you've kept your blog up so that we can still be part of your lives and share in the fun you are having. Volunteering to be servers is a smart idea. Sweet Grace relaxing in a safe place. Great picture!
ReplyDeleteHoping that Grace will be back in-the-pink shortly! My greyhound, Molly, had bad teeth. Once she had 14 teeth removed and an abscess treated at once!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazed me (and what you will hopefully see with Grace) is how quickly they recover from such major work!
Give her an extra hug from me!
Grace is well loved. Sure do hope that this helps.
ReplyDeleteVolunteering to serve the pizza will be a great way to meet everyone.
