A Few More Pieces to the Puzzle

The past few days have been beautiful.  With no construction going on over the weekend or Monday, we got to enjoy some time on our patio.  We have seen several dolphin. I got a dorsal fin on the left.
 If you click on the photo and zoom in - you can actually see it is a dolphin. I could just put the camera on movie and get them swimming - but where is the sport in that? We spent lots of time this weekend unpacking boxes. Most everything is unpacked and we have plenty of cabinet space :). Friends had us over on Sunday for lunch.  The food was great and it was great to get away for a while.
Yesterday, our blinds and appliances came.  Our freezer door was dented -so they will be replacing it.  We got faux wood blinds for the kitchen and spare bedroom and cellular shades for the big patio door and master bedroom window.  The cellular shades really help cut the heat down and still let some light in.
Our countertops are scheduled for Thursday and the plumber will be here Friday to get sinks, dishwasher and ice maker connected up.  There are a few trim items that will go in to next week.  But, we should be fully functional by the weekend- yea!  We are ready!

    I well remember how nice it was for us to see our long kitchen reno coming to an end so I can appreciate how excited you must be as well.

    Your cupboards look great and are amazingly similar to ours.

    Makes you wonder how they can redo a kitchen in three days on the DYI TV show. But the results you're getting will have been worth the wait. :c)

    Boy that is sweet to sit on your patio and watch the dolphins play. We have to go to some trouble to see them. Again your choice of home is a great one? I know your new kitchen doesn't seem to have happened quickly to you but it does to me. It looks fantastic.

    WOW, great progress on the renovations!! Know you will be glad when it is finished but it will be so worth the inconvenience!! Love that you can watch dolphins from your balcony:o))
