Things have been going really smoothly on the renovation. That came to a halt this week. The granite was two days late. We really like it and the installers did a good job but it was late. Then, the plumber who was supposed to show up Friday did not show at all.
He rescheduled for today.
He showed up on time but did not have the shut off valves he needed and promptly left without doing anything.
It was the first time we have gotten cranky about the way things have gone. It was clear that he just did not want to be working on Saturday. We let our contractor know that we were not pleased.
Catherine was able to take our new stove out for a test drive. It made a pretty good omelet.
In addition to the reno frustration, Grace is having some more facial problems. Now, she has some swelling on the left side of her face. We took her in to the vet yesterday. She got some aspirate out of it and is hoping that it is just an infection. But, we are all worried that it could be more serious. Send good thoughts her way :).
Poor Grace...good thoughts coming her way.
ReplyDeleteKitchen does look really nice though. Sorry about the glich at the end. What's a reno without a few headaches? :)
Sending lots of good thoughts and wellness to sweet Grace. I had wondered why you were having such great luck with your renovation. I hadn't remembered ours at all that way. Hope it's all behind you by next week.
ReplyDeleteWow! The kitchen looks so different!! Things will come together soon but I know it can be frustrating.
ReplyDeletePet Grace for us. She is so sweet and cute.

More good thoughts on the way to Florida for Grace. Sure hope she perks up and everything is o.k.
ReplyDeleteThe granite tops look terrific. Too bad about the plumber guy but you're pretty close to the end now so just hang in there and it'll all be over soon.
The kitchen looks almost perfect, it will be perfect when the plumber gets off his butt and finishes the job. Always something! Grr...
ReplyDeleteAt least the stove works great. The finish line is close.
Hugs to Grace, hope she gets better quickly.
Grace is so sweet...hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteInto every renovation a little aggravation must fall...but it sure looks beautiful!! Not much longer and it will all be over:o)
Sorry to hear Grace is having more problems. Poor baby.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, the kitchen looks beautiful and will soon be finished.
Hugs to Gracie, we hate it when our fur babies are not at 100%!
