Grace has been getting lots of "crate time" as she recuperates from her dental surgery. She is doing well and feeling much better. We had dinner with friends on Saturday and had an open house for our neighbors on Sunday. It was nice and we got to know some of the people in our building.
Tuesday, we traveled up to Palm Harbor to watch our friends daughter in her track meet. On the way home we discovered that there is a Hamburger Mary's now in Clearwater and lucked into two for one burger night.
We have had some great weather the past few days. So, we decided to take advantage of a near perfect day Wednesday and go watch the ponies run.
Wednesdays are free admission and $2 beer. So, we had a late lunch and enjoyed a few races. Sadly, we only cashed one ticket where we won about 10 cents. It was still a good time.
Today, our lovely weather takes a break. It looks like mostly rain and some heavy downpours for us today.
However, the sun should return for the weekend.
Saturday, Catherine is running her first 10K- yea Catherine. We are having friends for dinner and we are getting ready for our first house guests next week.

Glad to hear Grace is feeling a bit better and that you are entertaining in your newly renovated home.
ReplyDeleteSaw the photo of Hamburger Mary's - we have one of those here in Palm Springs. They are monster burgers and do need a knife to hold them together.
Thanks Rick, I left out our trip to Hamburger Mary's. I got it in there now.
DeleteSure wish we'd get some of that wonderful weather you have been enjoying.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear Grace is feeling better. A 10 cent win is better than I usually do at bingo. But buying the cards costs about half the price of a movie these days so I consider it entertainment. Some day I'm gonna win though! Guess I better keep my eye out for Hamburger Mary's. Never heard of it.
ReplyDeleteGrace is so cute. Glad to hear that she is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteFun at the races and good burgers... yum!

Glad Grace is mending well. Sounds like some fun times this week and on the upcoming weekend:o)) Way to go Catherine...you go girl!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Catherine! That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an interesting burger place. I'll have to keep an eye out :)
10 cents, now that's quite the jackpot. Now you can plan renovating the rest of your condo with that new found wealth! :cD
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Catherine! Have fun!
I'm glad to hear Grace is on the mend.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be enjoying your new life. It's nice you are getting to know your neighbors.
Can't wait to see where your travels will take you this summer.
Good luck on the 10k Catherine! It looks like the weather will be a little cooler...maybe a perfect running day?
