Last night we tried a new restaurant
Verducci's. We chose a veggie pizza and it was really good - grilled eggplant, roasted red pepper, and grilled zucchini. We also saw lots of fresh made pasta going to nearby tables that looked delicious. They also had a very nice house Chianti for $5 a glass. I think we will be regulars here. It is close enough to walk or ride our bikes. Although, we drove yesterday because it was pretty warm out.
This morning we went out for a paddle in our Sea Eagle. I remembered the play sport camera and was able to get some video of the dolphin. One was chasing fish and you can see the fish jump in front of him.
We are having a quiet friday night. Some friends are taking us out to dinner tomorrow to celebrate our nuptials and Sunday we are going to some other friends for lunch and football. Another great weekend on tap!
That pizza looks wonderful! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou two are truly enjoying your new neighborhood. Seems to have everything close by and so pretty too. Love the paddle with the dolphin!!
ReplyDeleteI can see why your car repair shop got great reviews! It sounds like a keeper.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
You sure found a nice area to settle down. I love that so many things are within walking distance.
ReplyDeleteWe have Sea Eagles, but have the Fast Track 385. They have a harder bottom and you can actually stand up in them. They track and paddle just as well as our old hard bottom kayaks. Might be an option for you if you can't get storage space. We really like them and I had resisted moving to inflatables for exactly the reason you said.
So...you keep teasing us. Are you getting married soon or did you already? Either way, congratulations, and I'm glad you can!
That's what I get for reading this post on my phone early in the morning and losing my comment the first line of which was the exact same as Karen's. What a great neighborhood with so many things to walk to including kayaking with dolphins. It doesn't get much better than that. I feel the same way you do about our Sea Eagle which is why we have kept our hard kayaks. But the sea eagle is very handy to take visitors kayaking in. Karen has been a serious paddler for a long time so I would certainly take her recommendation if I didn't already have 3 kayaks. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great restaurant to meet up in this winter! Would love to pick your brains on San Antonio and Santa Fe. Thanks for the offer!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking pizza - even if it is a veggie!! Thanks for mentioning the paddling in those Sea Eagles. I never knew the inflatables might be harder to paddle although it makes perfect sense.
ReplyDeleteHave fun celebrating this weekend.
I'm looking to buy a Sea Eagle that self paddles. Any recommendations? :cD
