We ate at Guppy's. The food was really good. We had not eaten there in years. They have really upgraded the restaurant and the food. We had a very fun time.
Monday, we checked out the political landscape. We went to Charlie Crist's campaign launch for governor. It turned out to be pretty exciting for me because I got to meet Dan Ruth who is a terrific local columnist. Although, I was a little disappointed that he did not mention meeting me in his column about the event :)
Tuesday, friends treated us to lunch to celebrate our marriage. We think we stumbled on to the best way to get married. Don't have a big party at the wedding- just have lots of little parties with friends afterwards.
Tuesday afternoon, I was choosing between fishing and working out. I of course chose fishing-bad decision. I got hung up and while trying to free my line I slipped, lost my shoe and cut the heck out of my foot on an oyster bed. Catherine doctored me up, but I was on light duty for my volunteer day at habitat.
We were installing soffit and since I did not want to go up and down on the ladder with my bum foot. I got to run the saw. The guys would yell out measurements and I would cut and deliver. It was a fun day. The house is coming along nicely and should dedicate in mid-December.
Yesterday, Catherine massaged a friend and then we had another friend come over for dinner.
As we were enjoying the sunset, Catherine and our friend took issue with the way I had bandaged my toe. I was having trouble keeping the bandages on- so I turned to a trusted material.
A little duct tape will do you.... Have a good weekend!

Oh my goodness that toe looks painful. Do you think it's the exercise gods tangling your line? Sounds like another very fine week. Just love it that you are still celebrating your marriage. May they both go on and on and on.
ReplyDeleteWhat would we ever do without duct tape?
ReplyDeleteDuct tape will hold anything together :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're onto something there with your multiple marriage celebrations. Enjoy every one of them!
ReplyDeleteFishing is supposed to be dangerous for the fish!
ReplyDeleteNothing like celebrating a great occasion like a wedding over and over again.
I sure hope Charlie Crist beats "old bullet head" next year.
Another great use for duct tape! :c)
