Back Home
We are back in our spot in Garden City. We got news before arriving yesterday, that one of our friends who was in a local assisted living facility had passed away. He was just shy of 97 years old. Our friends have been helping to care for he and his wife for several years. His son and dil came to town yesterday to make the funeral arrangements. They are also full-timers and we have gotten to know them over the past year. Our thoughts are with them as they deal with this difficult time.
It is tough to lose a friend. I am sorry.
ReplyDeleteIt's never a good time of year to lose a treasured friend. Instead of planning for Christmas, the son and dil now have to plan a funeral. So very sad.

Paul is so right about this being a particularly sad time of year to lose a loved one. I know the friends and family will appreciate your being there.
ReplyDeleteI like the 2 weeks here and 2 weeks there approach too. We'll be moving to our next 2 weeker in just a couple of days. Enjoy your time at "home"!
