An Artful Lunch, Lots of Lights

Wednesday, Catherine's mother treated us to Lunch and some exhibits at the San Antonio Museum of Art.  The Museum is located in the original Lone Star Brewing complex along the river.

We started with lunch at the "Cafe De Artistes." It is located in the old hops house which sits on the banks of the river.  The rest of the building is artist studio space.
Since the weather was nice, we were able to sit outside and enjoy views of the riverwalk.  As we have mentioned before, we are so pleased with the way San Antonio is developing the extension of the river walk.

We ordered sandwiches and Catherine's mom had quiche.  It was all very good.  After lunch, we toured the current exhibit "Aphordite".  They had several very nice pieces.  Lunch was so good that we decided to go back and try dessert.

Dessert was not only beautiful but was very good as well.

Yesterday, we had dinner at Dave and Buster's to celebrate nephew Christoper's birthday.  After food, drinks and some games, we decided to check out the Christmas lights in the neighborhood. Catherine's family lives in Windcrest and they are famous for their Holiday displays.  People put an incredible amount of effort into decorating.

It was a lot of fun.  It always feels a little more like Christmas when you can enjoy some good holiday lights!

Later today, we will enjoy the TSO concert at the ATT center.
Fun stuff....
