Happy Easter!

We have had quite a week back in the St. Louis Area - the area was hit with several tornadoes.  Fortunately, they missed us.  Hopefully those people impacted will be able to recover soon.  Some of the loses were devastating.

It was a busy week at work, getting caught up from vacation.

Catherine left on Tuesday to attend our friend Joy's 75th birthday party.  It was quite a bash:  entertainment, face painting, party hats (or crowns) and great food.  It sounds like everyone had a great time.

Our niece is in town today.  She is in the area working for Progressive insurance working on the hail damage claims in the area.  She has been traveling for several weeks so we are going to give her a home cooked meal.  We will feed her one of our favorites "Beer Can Chicken."
I have not figured out how we will manage this one on the road but I am sure we will work something out.  Happy Easter everyone!  See you down the road.

  1. Good to hear that all is ok with you guys after the tornados. I was thinking about y'all. Face painting at a 75th birthday party says alot about Joy. She must love life.
June 3rd will be here soon!

  3. Really glad to see you both are safe. We were wondering how close it came to you. The beer can chicken looks good. We will have to try that.

  4. Love the dragonfly! What fun!

If you figure out how to do the beer can chicken on a smaller grill, let us know. Would love to be able to do it too :)

Glad you made it through that storm safely.

  6. Catherine looks great all painted up. We are back from 6 days of boondocking and being lazy at Elkmont in the Great Smokies. Hope to get the blog up soon but couldn't resist trying to catch up with the blogs of friends first. Somehow it's more fun to read yours than to do my own. :-)

    Hugs to you both,
    Sherry
