Clarksville, TN

Welcome to our new followers.  Thanks for signing up. We are on our way to the RV Dreams rally in Sevierville, TN.
We pulled out about 10:15 ( A late start by our standards). We enjoyed dinner and a concert with some friends last night and slept a little later than usual this morning.  However, it was worth it.  If you like Jazz and ever come across, John Pizzarelli-- Go!  It was a great concert. Thanks again Carol and Terri.
As we left St Louis,  we promptly took a wrong turn-due to a bit of poor communication between navigator and driver.  Already, a lesson learned:). We got back on track.  It was a hot day and we noticed the  A/C was not performing very well.  Then it basically was not working at all.  At a fuel stop, we fired the generator and rolled down the road with the house A/C going for the remainder of the journey. Not the most fuel efficient way to travel, but it  got the job done.  We rolled in to the Clarksville RV park at about 3:45.  Hot and tired but more than 1/2 way to our final destination.  Hopefully, it will not be as hot tomorrow or on the way back.  We will investigate mobile mechanic options in Sevierville.

For now we are snug in our RV looking for a good nights rest.

  1. I have always heard that is dangerous, but I don't know why. I mean running the generator while going down the road.

  2. Must be some law of averages that says the hotter it gets, the more likely the AC won't work. :)

  3. You are right Pidge. It is not recommended just like it is not recommended to run the fridge on Propane when you are running down the road. I believe both are fire hazards. We started early this morning so hopefully we won't have to operate the generator much.
