I announced to my employees and co-workers that I would be retiring June 3. What an emotional day! It is a big relief to have my plans out in the open and be able to share with people I have worked with for so long. I have been very lucky to work with really great people over the past 22 years. It has been a lot of fun and provided me with wonderful opportunities. I have traveled many places and met many wonderful people. People were really happy for us but say they will miss me. I guess that is the right time to leave - before they are ready to show me the door:).
Now just need to sell the house, get rid of more stuff, get some stuff in storage and get moving.
See you down the road...soon.

ReplyDeleteI bet that is a load off of your shoulders. I remember telling my boss and she tried to talk me out of it, but I stuck to my guns and am so glad I did. You will love it out here.

ReplyDeleteThere is NOTHING like the freedom even though you were lucky enough to have a job you liked and great co-workers. Or perhaps since I had neither of the above for a lot of my 25 years at the same company, my perspective is jaded. But I don't think so. Try not to grin too much!!
