Sunday, we rode our bikes down to the beach and had breakfast at one of our favorite spots. It was early in the morning but the beach was already getting crowded. People were trying to grab the last few good weather days of the spring break season.
Sunday afternoon, one of our friends from Tampa joined us at Woody's waterfront for happy hour. It is our favorite local dive bar. We shared a pitcher of beer and some fried clams and shrimp. A great Sunday afternoon.
Monday the rain rolled in ahead of a cold front. While out walking Grace, I saw this spoon bill.
I was thrilled. This is the first one we have seen around our complex. It hung around long enough for me to get a picture but not long enough for Catherine to see it.
Tuesday, we took the rig over to Lazy Days. We decided to drop Grace at the Vet and spend the night at the campground. We wanted to test everything out since the rig has been in storage and our warranty is up in May.
We enjoyed the Crown Club amenities for probably the last time. Our membership expires in July and I don't anticipate a new rig. We are really happy with our little breeze. As usual we enjoyed happy hour and made some new RVing friends.
We got hit with a cold spell, so we even got to test out the heat. Everything worked fine. We have a few warranty items for them to fix- no show stoppers- just mouse fart stuff. We got it in for service, picked up Grace and came home. Hopefully, they will get us all fixed up in a couple of days.
That should get us ready for our summer adventures. We do have to buy a new air mattress, bed in a box or something. We like the one we bought this summer but it developed a slow leak. I thought I had it patched but last night proved otherwise. At least we can get it solved before we are on the road.

Sounds like you'll have everything in order for your summer travels. :)
ReplyDeleteMouse Fart things? Now that's one I've never heard before. Thanks for the chuckle!
ReplyDeleteBTW, how DO you stop a mouse from farting??? :cD
Even Cedar Key was crazy busy last week with folks on Spring Break. Oh well, it is Florida. Good to have the rig checked out before hitting the road soon. Spoon bills are just special birds.

Spoonbills are my favorite:o))
ReplyDeleteI've heard about Woody's but have not been there. Must change that! Thanks for the tips on San Antonio :-).
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great few days. Spoonbill, friends, Crown Club, ready to roll rig; what's not to love. LOL about Mouse fart stuff. Can't say I've ever heard a mouse fart.
ReplyDeleteI'm another wondering about the mouse fart stuff :) Great term...I might have to give it a try ;)
ReplyDeleteNice pic of the spoonbill. I sure like the idea of being able to sit out on the patio to read and enjoy that great view.
