A New Favorite Thing

We like the show "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives."  We have eaten at a number of the featured restaurants over the years.  Most are good but not as good as they looked on the show.  The exception was Gus's fried chicken in Memphis - it was instantly one of our favorite things.  Only my mom made better fried chicken.  Yesterday, we decided to try "Dough",  A pizza joint we saw on the show.  Oh my gosh......
The last time we had pizza this good, we were in Venice.  It was fantastic.  We had the Margherita pizza with house made mozzarella and prosciutto.
It was so good, that we had to try the tiramisu.  We have only had one tiramisu we really loved - in Tuscany made by a 93 year old woman.  This was almost as good - none of those cookies - light cake and strong espresso.  We fed the left overs to the nephews when we picked them up from school. Then we dumped them off on dad - all jacked up on sugar and coffee :)

"Dough" is now on the San Antonio favorites list.  Maybe we will find another favorite today?  See you down the road...
