We put our window bird feeder out and we have had quite a few diners. I like this feeder because the big birds like crows and grackles can't get in it. However, these little guys are picky eaters. They are eating all the sunflower seeds
and tossing the milo out on the ground. They are fun to watch. We all have breakfast together in the mornings :). Today, we drove to the outskirts of Austin to Mckinny Roughs Nature Park. It is a Lower Colorado River Authority park. It is not a traditional camping park but more of a nature education center. We are pondering applying for a host position. It is very nice and the host parking area is very nice. They really want a three month commitment and we are not sure we want to be tied down that long. If it were just two months, we would jump on it. Decisions, decisions .... What a rough life :D
Tomorrow we might drive back up to the hill country and check out some more state parks. We also might just laze around the RV. See you down the road....
Love your bird feeder. I found too that I might as well penny up for all black oil since they waste the other stuff anyway. It is funny to watch them pick through it though.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on 2 month commitments. Definitely prefer those. Hope you find what you are looking for. Am glad you are keeping us posted.
I have adjusted to three month commitments, but the last few weeks I'm anxious to move on. :)

Three months is a long time. I'm with you thinking two would be better for you. Your travel itch would really need to be scratched by the end of the second month.
ReplyDeleteBut then the money you'd save might be a good thing too.
No matter what, you'll make the right choice, things always work out for the best.
We have decided to spend 4 months in Rockport Texas for the winter. We think we can explore a lot of the gulf coast area in 4 months. We enjoy staying put and making day trips to see things within a 100 miles of where we're parked. That's just the way we've been doing it and it has worked out pretty good for us.
