Why do we keep the things we keep? As we were going through our "basement boxes", (you know basement boxes, the ones you move but never unpack), I discovered this lovely rabbit fur headband and muff. Now most of you know or probably have surmised that, I am not the most girlie girl around. But when I was five, I loved this. I especially loved it with the pink sweater dress and white tights:) But alas, it is time to say goodbye. I will be giving it to the little girls next door who "love to play dress up" according to mom.
In addition to a few long lost treasures, lots more stuff. We are preparing for a garage sale on Saturday. We sold some of our furniture to a couple who just bought a new house. I have sold some to friends at work and we just have a few pieces left. We still have a lot to do but it is getting there. See you down the road...
That headband is you!!! I bet the little girls next door have a ball with it... :)
ReplyDeleteOh how funny! I had forgotten all about rabbit "things" :) I'm amazed you actually kept something since you were 5! It's kind of sad you have to give it away :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work! I guess I was too late, that rabbit fur stuff would have looked great on me... ;c)
ReplyDeleteSome of that stuff in the garage looks like stuff that we recently got rid of. Your yard sale will be successful, no doubt. It's almost time!

Great rabbit set - I remember those. The little girl next store will love them for dress up.
ReplyDeleteYou look too cute in the hat and muff! Not sure I know anyone who has things from when they were five. I thought I was amazing to have high school stuff. But then you probably were 5 when I was in high school. LOL
