Say it Ain't so...

We were off to a good start when a warning light and engine shutdown derailed us. The rig is in Ocala at the IH shop. We are back at the condo. The codes indicate a fuel problem.  I am thinking - a lingering issue from the "new guys" I let change my fuel filters.  Hopefully, we will know Monday.
The good news is our friend is doing well tolerating chemo so we don't need to rush out to Houston.  We should be back on the road shortly.
Those tow truck guys - they don't pay them enough.  I can't even express how cautious this guy was with our rig. To get around this silly corner at the truck shop he had to stop and adjust about every 3 ft. I was helping give direction. It was the best part of this day.

  1. First off, glad to hear that your friend is tolerating the chemo. Sure hope it does the trick but it can be a long haul.
Secondly, I sure hope it's a quick and easy fix on the rig. I can't imagine how it feels to see your home hooked up to a tow truck.

  2. I'm sorry to see your "baby" on the end of a tow truck. As hard as it is to take, the warning system and engine shut down prevented catastrophic damage. Hope it turns out to be something simple, I'm with you in thinking it may be related to the previous filter change. :c(

  3. I know what you mean about tows. I was having a heart attack when our rig broke down in Inverness. Couldn't believe the size of the tow truck and that it could tow the truck and trailer at the same time. Something you hate to have happen but good when it goes ok. safe travels!

  4. Bummer is right. Sure hope it is an easy fix and not too costly. At least you were close to home. Glad to hear your friend is tolerating the chemo well. Hope it doesn't get worse as it goes which was David's experience with the high dose. I know she's so glad you are coming. Hope you are back on the road soon.

  5. Hate that this happened, but glad you are getting to the root cause. We know how it feels to have your rig towed and were fortunate to have a very cautious driver as well:o)) Hope you get fixed up real quick and can continue on to Houston to give assistance where needed. Safe Travels!!!

  7. Having the MH towed is one of my greatest nightmares! I'm glad you got it safely towed to a shop and hopefully they will know what they are doing. Did you read Paul Dahls post a few days ago about changing fuel filters? He had some interesting info. Al has changed ours and so far so good (after the first little glitch).

I think that somethings happen for a reason and I see there are some storms heading east from Texas with some potential tornados. Maybe you were meant to stay off the road.

I'm glad your friend is tolerating the chemo and I hope she/he continues to do well with the drugs.

I did get your second email BTW... and responded. Safe travels.
