We did get to see "Winter". She was not wearing her prosthetic tail. |
You can see how her tail is just a stump. The Clearwater Aquarium is mostly a rescue and rehab facility for Turtles, Dolphin and Otters. They have a few "residents" that can not be released back into the wild. Like Nicolas below-
Overall, it is OK. Lots of kids and I thought it was kind of pricey for the number of exhibits. I think the Florida Aquarium in Tampa is a better bang for your buck.
We are getting ready to roll out on Friday for Houston. A close friend is having some health issues and we want to be on hand to help with driving, cooking whatever is needed. Our plan is open ended we will see what the rest of the summer brings. I have always wanted to spend some time around Houston- lots in the area we have not seen.
As Paul says-"Semper Gumby"-always flexible!
Wonderful that you are heading out to help your friend. Hope you don't die of the heat in Houston since that's why you are leaving Florida I assume. The best way to travel IMO is to just go with no plan and see where it takes you. That's getting harder and harder though as more people are on the road. Can't wait to see how it works for you three. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteOf course just as we're going to heading down your way early May, you're heading out. One of these days we'll have to stop this ships passing in the night stuff and actually catch up for an in person visit! :c)
ReplyDeleteWhat good friends you are! Hope it all works out OK.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are able to be flexible enough to lend a hand...you are good friends!!
ReplyDeleteSafe Travels........
