I worked at Habitat one day and finished up the outside painting. We had a guy inside installing tile. This house will be ready to sell pretty soon.
Saturday, we finally rescued the rig from Lazy Days. She got her warranty issues taken care of and got an oil change and new fuel filters for both the coach and the generator. We got her back in her storage bay. Now, we need to get her cleaned up and start packing. We will be on the road one month from today :)
Today, we decided to go to breakfast and the sugar sand festival at Clearwater Beach.
We had to wait out side for a little while. Catherine and our friend Vicki enjoyed sitting in the giant chair. We ate breakfast at Clearsky Cafe. They have really good breakfast...
And, an even better Bloody
Mary Bar. They have about 20 different ingredients you can use to add some spice to your drink. They were delicious.
The theme of the sugar sand festival this year was Hollywood.
They had the T-Rex from "Jurrasic Park".
Bill Murry and the Gopher from "Cadyshack".
Shrek and Donkey
Dracula
And, of course Clearwater's own "Winter" the Dolphin.
It was a beautiful day at the beach. Everyone, else in town thought so too! The beach was packed.
It was a great week. We were busy but we did have some time for some of this....

Looks like a nice place to store the motorhome.
ReplyDeleteI love the sand sculptures.
Funny how busy we get in retirement!!
ReplyDeleteLove the sand sculptures - there's a couple big beach sculpture contests every year here in Oregon - one on Cannon Beach ( north coast) - and one in a big plaza in downtown Portland!
Glad you got all the work done on your rig - nice to head out with a confident feeling.
We rescued our coach from Lazydays on Saturday too!!
ReplyDeleteThe sand sculptures are really cool.
Oh shoot- I started to write you but they had run our house batteries completely down and we got all wound up about that-rats I should have emailed you.
DeleteSounds like a great week. Too busy to blog is a good thing....I think. That house looks terrific. It will make someone a very nice home. Thanks for helping Habitat.
ReplyDeleteI think I recognize that work bay at Lazy Days. Another nice week in Florida Paradise.

No wonder you couldn't blog. I think it was solely because you had one too many of those great looking Bloody Mary's!
