One of our favorite Disney events is the Epcot Spring Flower and Garden festival. We decided yesterday would be a good day to check it out. The day started out with rain in St. Pete but by the time we got to Orlando it was bright sunshine.
The last few times we have been to Epcot, we have not been able to get even close to "Soarin". The lines have been long and the fast passes long gone. Yesterday, we tried out the new app "My Disney Experience" We booked our fast passes for "Soarin" several days in advance. We went to the ride at our designated time put our cards up to the new fast pass reader and Mickey gave us the green light to go right ahead. It was pretty cool. The flower and garden festival always has some unique displays. I liked this one as a way to recycle both the old lawn chair and the old garden hose
We even managed to find a sand sculpture at Disney.
It was advertising for the new Disney Movie "Bears".
It was really well done.
We always enjoy the topiary sculptures.
It turned out to be a perfect day. Plenty of sunshine with a cool breeze.
As, usual the flowers were spectacular.
We had a really good time, although it was pretty crowded. We left Grace at the Vet's before we drove over to Orlando. There were no traffic problems getting home so we were home in time pick her up.
She still gave us the stink eye.
Looks like another beautiful day today. Maybe we will make it out for a paddle or bike ride.
Beautiful flowers and love the sculptures! We're going to have to check that out one of these years :)
ReplyDeleteWe have reservations at Ft. Wilderness the 3rd week of June for a trip with our grandsons. Have to get our Disney fix, we missed last year for the first time in 7 consecutive years. Hoping to do another trip in Sept with some of our granddaughters. :c)

ReplyDeleteWe went last week to the Festival, but I haven't posted yet..I'm a bad blogger! It's one of my favorite things to visit, anf the outdoor kitchens make it even better :-). Maybe Grace would be happier if she stayed at the Best Friends Villas at Disney while you are visiting? They are very nice, although pricey.
