Celebration, Unfortunate Encounter, Settling in to the Breeze

Saturday, we finished moving.  We are happy to say that we have plenty of space for everything we need to travel in the Breeze.  After moving, we went to St. Pete for a surprise 25th anniversary party for our good friends Pat and Dee.
It was very nice. Dee's mom put out a huge spread.

Unfortunately, on our way home we hit an Osprey.  He had come down to get something on the side of the road and I was watching him.  He just flew right into the car.  We could not believe it.  Thankfully, we were on a city street.  At highway speeds, I think he would have come through the windshield. I feel terrible but there was no way to miss him.  It was pretty scary.  Of course, it is a holiday weekend, so no one can come out to fix it until Tuesday morning.

We did get moved over to the Lazydays campground.  We will be here until June 11.  We close on the condo June 7.  We can't drive anywhere until the truck is fixed so, we are just spending time enjoying getting settled into the Breeze.

Grace is settling right in.

So far, we are finding her to be very comfortable.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

A great horned owl shattered my car window one night and about scared the socks off of me. Glad you weren't hurt.

  6. Oh so sorry for you. I know how badly you must have felt. What in the world would make him fly into your truck?

Good thing Grace just goes with the flow or she'd be really confused :) especially after next week!

  8. Awww...the poor osprey. I'm glad you weren't hurt. It looks like it was a pretty hard impact to smash the window like it did.

Grace looks pretty comfy. Give her a rub for me!
