Wait Wait ...... We Bought a Condo!

Last week was a busy one.
Those of you who know us are aware that we can be a bit on the "nerdy" side.  You can imagine how excited we were when we learned that  the NPR news quiz show "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me" was doing a live "cinecast" (a taping of the show broadcast to local movie theaters).
And, it could be viewed at our theater right here in Wesley Chapel.  We lined right up with about 20 other news nerds and went to see it.  Steve Martin was the guest and the panelists were Moe Rocca, Paula Poundstone and Tom Bodett. It was fun- not quite as much fun as when we saw it live in Chicago but still fun.

It is hard to beat that kind of excitementHowever, we also bought a condo!  It is in South Pasedena near St. Pete Beach.  This is our building.

This is our parking space.  (We want to make sure our readers get the full tour).  It is 1145 sq feet, which seems huge after living in a coach for two years. It has 2 bedrooms 2 baths and a nice patio.

We have a fitness center, boat slips, tennis courts, a car wash station, a wood shop, covered parking for bikes, a storage room and of course-shuffleboard!  Catherine and I have started playing - it is pretty fun :)  The condo itself needs a little updating but that will all get done over time.  Our plan is to paint and then the joy of moving will begin :).  A couple of people asked if we were going to continue to RV. Absolutely!  We will probably trade down for a smaller coach but we still plan on traveling several months each year.  We had not planned on getting a condo this soon but the market is heating up and it seemed like the time to buy - gotta stay flexible :)

  3. Congratulations! That's my idea of a nice view too. If I were to move back into a place with no wheels, it would have to have a water view :)

  4. Congrats! What a beautiful condo, that view is incredible! We wish you much joy and happiness in your new abode.

Just a question, isn't that parking space ceiling a wee bit low for your motorhome??? ;c)

  5. What? What? You bought a condo AND went to see Wait Wait Don't Tell Me? I LOVE that program. Well, I wondered where you had been these last few days and here you are with a great new view. Did it come furnished or have you been shopping too. You two are on the ball I must say. Sounds pretty luxurious what with all those amenities. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
