Rain, Pelican Dance, Lexington

Grace gets worn out walking on the beach. Tuesday, while we stopped to visit, she took a seat on the boardwalk to rest :).  We had a downpour on Wednesday.  We missed most of it because we traveled to Rockport and had lunch with John and Sharon at Hu Dat- pretty good Vietnamese food.  We all had enough for two meals. On our way back we saw these White pelicans feeding. They all went down and came up at the same time. It looked like a dance. I got it on video:

Yesterday, we revisited the USS Lexington battleship museum.  Last year we went in the afternoon and did not have enough time to see everything.  This year we took most of the day.  It is a really good museum.

Last year they were just refurbishing this SNJ5 -Texan.  It has been moved up to the Flight Deck and looks great.  They also refurbished the galley exhibit and we saw a pretty good movie about air racers.

If I can climb in or on somethingI always have to give it a go.  I checked out the cockpit of the A4 Skyhawk.  I am not sure I could ever remember what all those switches do.  It was a fun day and as we headed back to Port A the sun finally returned to the skies.

  1. Nice picture of you as a Blue Angel! You must get plenty of formation practice by driving your RV! :c)

Nice to see an historic carrier as a museum and not razor blades like so many of her sister carriers.

  5. When we go back to Corpus Christie, we will make time to see the USS Lexington. It was on our list for last time but...the fall took over.
