Last year they were just refurbishing this SNJ5 -Texan. It has been moved up to the Flight Deck and looks great. They also refurbished the galley exhibit and we saw a pretty good movie about air racers.
If I can climb in or on something, I always have to give it a go. I checked out the cockpit of the A4 Skyhawk. I am not sure I could ever remember what all those switches do. It was a fun day and as we headed back to Port A the sun finally returned to the skies.
Nice picture of you as a Blue Angel! You must get plenty of formation practice by driving your RV! :c)
ReplyDeleteNice to see an historic carrier as a museum and not razor blades like so many of her sister carriers.
Enjoyed the museum tips and the new Blue Angel!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic of Gracie taking a rest - and, of the new Blue Angel pilot!
ReplyDeleteThe Lexington is awesome! We spent a whole day there last year :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we go back to Corpus Christie, we will make time to see the USS Lexington. It was on our list for last time but...the fall took over.
