Everyone else is doing well. My niece and nephew have taken up residence on our farm and have fixed the houses up nicely.
We did a lease purchase agreement with my brother last year. It is working out well for everyone.
While I was gone, Catherine put up our little tree. She also enjoyed the boat parade.
Yesterday, Catherine's Spanish class had their holiday lunch. Each class member made a dish and then had to demonstrate how they made it - in Spanish. I got to attend as a judge. They all did great.
This cake was the winner! It was an angel food cake topped with whipped cream and heath bar crumbles.
The lunch was a lot of fun. It is a great group. I know why Catherine enjoys the class so much.
We had one of our best sunsets yet yesterday!
Next week, we will be preparing to leave for San Antonio. We will leave the 22nd and get back here on the 30th. We are looking forward to seeing family and friends.

It's too bad you missed the boat parade. Your deck looks pretty and festive.
ReplyDeleteNow that's the kind of judge I'd like to be. ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess you must speak fluent Spanish to be a judge. Darn, that disqualifies me. The cake looks yummy. Hope you get to see the boat parade. Glad to hear your mom is doing OK. My dad is 94 now and still in good shape for the shape he's in as he puts it. Safe travels to your holiday family gathering.
ReplyDeleteGlad all is well with family in New Mexico!! Safe travels to San Antonio and Merry Christmas to all:o))
ReplyDeleteI speak some Spanish, too and every time I use it I end up in big trouble! :cD
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holidays, wishing you both a Merry Christmas! :c)
Love those Christmas boat parades! Hope you get to catch the one tonight.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to San Antonio and Feliz Navidad!
